Authentic Tandoori Chicken from India!

I learned this tandoori chicken recipe during a business trip to India and gave it my own twist. It's sure to be a hit at parties and barbecues! The spice blend is truly authentic!

I spent two years in India for work. Although I got a bit tired of it while I was there, I grew to love Indian cuisine. During my stay, an Indian colleague taught me the taste of home-cooked meals. After many trials and adjustments to the spice and ingredient ratios, I finally achieved a flavor I'm satisfied with!

Cooking Instructions

[Optional] Before cutting the meat, soak it in grated onion for 1 hour to make it tender and juicy. See Recipe ID17393506 for more details.

Mix the ingredients marked with ★.

Remove the marinated meat and pat it dry. Cut into large pieces and make several vertical cuts on the surface with a knife.

Place the meat and the paste mixed in step 3 into a Ziploc bag and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Note: In Indian households, it can be cooked after just 3 hours.

Wipe off the paste, coat with butter, and bake in the oven at 480°F (250°C) for 20-25 minutes (it's done when clear juices run out when pierced with a toothpick).
