If you're tired of plain salted edamame, try this delicious twist.

I thought adding garlic would make it even tastier, so I gave it a try.

Trim one or both ends of the edamame pods with scissors to help them absorb flavor.

Add salt and boil the edamame for 3 minutes, then drain in a colander.

Heat oil, doubanjiang, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat, stirring so it doesn't burn. Add the edamame pods and stir-fry for just under 2 minutes.

Sprinkle with salt and serve.
