Boil the edamame in salted water, then remove the beans from the pods. With 3.5 oz (100g) in pods, you’ll get about 2 oz (58g) shelled edamame.

If using frozen edamame, thaw according to the package instructions, then remove the beans from the pods.

In a bowl, combine all the ☆ ingredients and mix until smooth and uniform. Add the edamame and mix again.

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Scoop the mixture with a spoon and drop into the pan, shaping as you go.

Pan-fry until golden brown on each side.

Once browned and cooked through, transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve and enjoy!
