Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 12 piecesfrozen gyoza dumplings (such as Ajinomoto brand or any frozen gyoza)
  • 1 stalk(about 3.5 oz/100g) green onion
  • 1.5 oz(about 1.4 oz/40g) carrot
  • 4 1/2 cupswater (about 1.1 liters)
  • 2 tablespoonschicken bouillon powder (about 18g)
  • 1 teaspoontoasted sesame oil (optional)

Steps

    Use chicken bouillon powder for this recipe.

    Slice the green onion on a diagonal and cut the carrot into thin strips.

  3. 3

    In a pot, bring the water and chicken bouillon powder to a boil. Add the green onion and carrot, and simmer briefly.

  4. 4

    Add the frozen gyoza dumplings to the pot and cook for about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    For extra flavor, drizzle in sesame oil if desired before serving.
