Ingredients

  1. 1/2daikon radish
  2. 1chicken thigh
  3. 1/2-1 blockkonjac
  4. Seasonings
  5. 3 tablespoonssoy sauce
  6. 2 tablespoonssugar
  7. 1 tablespoonmirin
  8. 1 tablespoonsake
  9. 1/2 cupwater (100ml)
  10. 1 teaspoongranulated dashi stock
  11. For pre-boiling daikon
  12. 1 teaspoongranulated dashi stock
  13. Water, enough to cover the daikon

Steps

  1. 1

    These are the only ingredients you need this time. When cutting the daikon, it's best not to make it too thick or too thin. Pre-boil the konjac if necessary.

    Pre-boil the daikon. Put the daikon in a pot, add enough water to cover, add the dashi stock, and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes. This is important!

    Put the chicken thigh in a frying pan and sauté until the surface changes color slightly, then add the konjac and daikon.

    Add 1/2 cup water (100ml), dashi stock, and all the seasonings marked with ■. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes until the flavors are absorbed, and it's done!
