Wash the potatoes well and pat them dry. Cut them into wedges. I usually cut each potato into 8 pieces.

Start frying in lukewarm oil and cook slowly until the edges puff up a bit and they turn slightly golden brown.

Insert a bamboo skewer to check if they are done. If it goes through easily, they are ready. Sprinkle with a couple of pinches of salt or herb salt immediately after frying.

For an even easier method, microwave the wedges after step 1 before frying! In this case, fry them quickly at high temperature!
