Combine all the sukiyaki sauce ingredients. Place a small pot on a scale and add the ingredients directly to avoid using a measuring cup.

Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and set aside.

Add beef fat to the sukiyaki pot and heat.

Grill the green onions until they are fragrant and have a nice char.

Add about one-third of the beef and cook.

Once the beef is browned, add the remaining ingredients and sukiyaki sauce. Cover and simmer until the carrots are cooked through.
