Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. 1-2frozen udon noodle packs
  2. 1 packnatto (fermented soybeans)
  3. 2 tablespoonsconcentrated mentsuyu (noodle soup base)
  4. 2 tablespoonswater
  5. (optional)
  6. 1 sheetroasted seaweed (nori)
  7. To taste ground sesame seeds
  8. To taste green onions (scallions)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Place the frozen udon noodles on a plate and microwave according to the package instructions.
I love the chewy texture of frozen Sanuki udon!

  2. 2

While the noodles are heating, stir the natto in its pack. Add the included sauce as well.

  3. 3

Once the noodles are done, remove them from the package and place them on a plate.
Tip: For a chilled version, rinse the noodles in ice water before serving.

  4. 4

Top the noodles with the mixed natto, then pour over the mentsuyu mixed with water.

  5. 5

Add torn pieces of roasted seaweed, green onions, and ground sesame seeds as desired. Enjoy! (o^^o)
