Easy Spam Musubi

I used the Spam can itself as a mold to make this. The base is an oil rice ball, and it turned out delicious. Perfect to take along for sports events or leisure activities.
The story behind this recipe
I bought Spam musubi at a convenience store in Hawaii, and it was delicious. I wanted to try making it myself. I thought the shape would be difficult, but I realized I could use the Spam can, and it turned out to be easy and tasty. It looks like Spam musubi will be making more appearances at sports events this year.

Steps
- 1
Cut the Spam to your desired thickness. About 1/2 inch is recommended. Fry both sides in a pan without oil.
- 2
Put the rice into the Spam can, drizzle with sesame oil, and lightly mix with a spoon. Press it down firmly.
- 3
Crack the egg and beat it. In a pan with oil, make scrambled eggs. Be careful not to overcook.
- 4
Quickly place the scrambled eggs from step 3 on top of the rice in the Spam can and press down lightly. Spread mayonnaise on top.
- 5
Remove from the Spam can. If you tap it on a cutting board lined with plastic wrap, the rice mixed with sesame oil should come out cleanly from the bottom.
- 6
Shape the rice ball wrapped in plastic wrap. Firm it up a bit, then wrap with the nori cut into 1/8 sheet, and it's ready.
