Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 piecetonkatsu (store-bought or homemade)
  2. 1/4onion
  3. 2medium eggs
  4. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  5. 1 tablespoonsugar
  6. 1 tablespoonmirin
  7. 1 tablespooncooking sake
  8. 2 teaspoonswhite dashi
  9. 3 1/3 tablespoonswater (50 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    Thinly slice the onion.

  2. 2

    Add all the ⭐ ingredients to an oyakodon pan or a small frying pan.
    ※ If using a frying pan, a non-stick one is recommended.

  3. 3

    Once the ⭐ seasonings start to boil, add the onion, cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat until the onion is soft, making sure it doesn't boil over.

    Meanwhile, crack the eggs and lightly beat them.

  5. 5

    Once the onion is soft, add the warmed tonkatsu!

  6. 6

    Pour in the eggs all at once, stir gently, cover again, and cook for 2-3 minutes!

    Meanwhile, prepare a bowl of rice!

    Once the eggs are semi-cooked, place everything over the rice, sprinkle with cilantro, and it's ready to serve! •*¨*•.¸¸♬
