Great as a snack with drinks or when you need one more dish. It's easy to make if you have frozen scallops on hand. This recipe came about when I found scallops in the freezer while looking for something to pair with drinks.

Great as a snack with drinks or when you need one more dish. It's easy to make if you have frozen scallops on hand. This recipe came about when I found scallops in the freezer while looking for something to pair with drinks.

Set a small pot over low heat and add the butter.

Once the butter melts, turn the heat to medium and add the scallops and cooking sake. Stir to combine.

Once the scallops are cooked through, add the sugar, soy sauce, and mirin in order, stirring to coat the scallops. Flip the scallops around to coat them evenly. This should take about 3 minutes.
