Cooking Instructions

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and marinate in a mixture of soy sauce and sake at a 1:3 ratio.

Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan and brown the cornstarch-coated chicken on both sides. Remove from the pan.

Finely chop the leek (or onion). Sauté until lightly browned. (Use plenty of oil, medium heat)

Add the canned tomatoes and ingredients marked with ★, and simmer for 3 minutes. (Medium heat) *Do not over-reduce, as the thickness will naturally develop when the meat is added.

Add the butter and chicken, bring to a boil, and mix gently. *The cornstarch on the chicken will naturally thicken the sauce. *Do not overmix the chicken.
