Ingredients

Makes 2 rice balls (about 6 oz/175g each)
  • 0.7 oz (20 g)tempura bits (agedama or tenkasu)
  • as neededNori (dried seaweed),
  • 1 1/3 cupscooked rice (about 300g)
  • 1 tablespoonconcentrated noodle soup base (mentsuyu, 4x strength)
  • 1–2 shakes Horinishi spice blend

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl, combine the tempura bits and noodle soup base.

  2. 2

    Finely chop the nori.

  3. 3

    Add the warm rice, chopped nori, and Horinishi spice to the bowl. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Shape the mixture into rice balls of your preferred size.
