You can easily make vegan burger patties by rehydrating pea protein meat. It also provides dietary fiber that meat alone cannot. Rehydrate the Plant Mate. You can use hot or cold water, but it rehydrates faster with boiling water. About 10 minutes with hot water.

Once rehydrated, knead it like you would for regular meat patties to develop stickiness.

Add the grated onion and knead further.

Add the grated carrot. Adding beets makes it more meat-like.

Add the garlic powder. (Grated garlic can also be used)

Add the ketchup or tomato puree.

Add the Kamebishi soy sauce (3-year aged).

Add the chia seeds (if using).

Add the mayonnaise.

Add the rice flour. If not aiming for gluten-free, mixing rice flour with wheat flour improves texture.

Add spices [A].

Add a little pitaya powder (dragon fruit powder) for a nice color. (It doesn't affect the taste)

Taste it. Unlike meat, you can taste it raw.

Cook the patties. Before turning on the heat, generously oil the pan, shape the patties, and arrange them.

Cover and cook over medium heat. The key is to get a good sear! Your patties are ready.
