Ingredients

Serves 3 servings
  1. Shrimp Stir-Fried Udon Ingredients
  2. 1 cup(about 75 grams) cabbage, chopped
  3. 1/4onion, thinly sliced
  4. 1small amount of carrot, julienned
  5. 1/2 stalkgreen onion
  6. 16medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  7. 1 lb (5 oz)(600 grams) cooked udon noodles
  8. 1 pinchsesame seeds
  9. 1 pinchchopped green onion
  10. Yangnyeom Sauce Ingredients
  11. 1 tablespoongrated garlic
  12. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  13. 2 tablespoonsoyster sauce
  14. 1 tablespoongochujang (Korean chili paste)
  15. 1 tablespoonmirin
  16. Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice the green onion into rounds. Thinly slice the onion and julienne the carrot. Cut the cabbage into strips about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) wide.

    Heat olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the green onion to make green onion oil.

    Add the onion, carrot, and cabbage to the green onion oil and stir-fry.

    When the vegetables are about halfway cooked, add the Yangnyeom sauce ingredients (grated garlic, oyster sauce, gochujang) and stir-fry.

    Add the prepared shrimp and mirin, and stir-fry.

    Briefly boil the udon noodles in boiling water, then drain well.

    Add the udon noodles to the pan with the vegetables and shrimp, and stir-fry together.

    Serve on a plate and top with sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
