Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupshortening
  2. 3/4 cupsugar
  3. 2eggs
  4. 1 tspvanilla
  5. 1 cuppumpkin
  6. 2 cupsflour
  7. 1/2 cupchopped walnuts
  8. 1/4 tspsalt
  9. 1/2 tspcinnamon
  10. 1/2 tspcloves
  11. 1/2 tspnutmeg
  12. 1 cupraisins
  13. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  14. 1/2 tspbaking soda

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream shortening and sugar well

  2. 2

    Blend in eggs; add vanilla and pumpkin

  3. 3

    Blend in dry ingredients which have been sifted together

  4. 4

    Add raisins and nuts

  5. 5

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets and bake in 375 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.
