Ingredients

12 cupcakes
  • 1/3 cupsoftened butter (about 80 grams)
  • 3/4 cupsugar (about 170 grams)
  • 1egg (about 50 grams)
  • 1 2/3 cupsall-purpose flour (about 200 grams)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonsbaking powder (about 7.5 grams)
  • 2/3 cupmilk (about 150 grams)
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • For the frosting
  • 1 1/3 cupsmy buttercream (find the recipe on my profile)

    In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar using electric beaters or a stand mixer.

  2. 2

    When the mixture is nice and white, add the whole egg and the pinch of salt.

  3. 3

    Separately, combine the flour and baking powder.

  4. 4

    Now add the dry ingredients to the butter, sugar, and egg mixture, alternating with the milk.

  5. 5

    Place the cupcake liners in a muffin tin and fill them 3/4 full with the batter.

  6. 6

    Bake in a convection oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes. Let cool before decorating.
