Gather and prep all ingredients.
- Using any type of chopper, finely mince the garlic and onion (see pic).Notes:
1. Use meat with fat. Original recipe used two types of meat with fat, combined.
2. Soda water is Sparkling, fizzy, Carbonated water. - 2
In a mixing bowl, mix everything until well-combined.

Place meat in a square or rectangular tray, with thickness of 3/4 inches. Cover with cling film and refrigerate overnight.

Next, cut cevapi. See pic below on how to do the cutting. Remove the cling film. Take out the pre-cuts and smooth the ready-shaped cevapi.

Cevapi is best BBQ-ed/grilled but we cooked ours on the stove using greased/oiled non-stick skillet. Wrap raw cevapi with cling film and refrigerate until you are ready to BBQ or cook them.

You can serve cevapi with chips, fresh salad or wrapped in pitta bread and topped with chopped onions, fresh salad and sauces of your choice. We serve ours on mashed potato.
