To boil the crab 🦀, wash crab 🦀 and keep aside, boil water 💦 add salt 🧂, add crab 🦀 and boil for 6 mins or crab colour change into reddish orange, the timer depends on the size of the 🦀 Crab, remove the crab add in cold water to stop over cooking. Remove from the water 💧 and strain it, keep aside. Soak the basmati rice 🍚 for 15 mins.

Add oil, heat it, add whole spices (cinnamon sticks, small cardamons, fennel seeds, bay leaves 🍂, cumin seeds) cook for 4 mins, add finely chopped onions 🧅 cook till little golden, add ginger garlic paste 🫚🧄 and green chillies paste mix well cook for 1 sec, add finely chopped tomatoes 🍅 cook for 2 mins

Add coriander cumin powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder 🌶️/ kashmiri chilli powder 🌶️, fish masala powder and mix well, cook till oil comes out, add basmati rice 🍚 and water 💦 mix gently, let it boil, when water is boiling, add boiled crab 🦀 and mix well, cook till rice is done, serve hot.

Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿, lemon slices 🍋, onions rings 🧅, if desired with slit green chillies.
