South indian style ridge gourd chutney

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, chopped onions, curry leaves and saute them.

In a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and make a paste. Add this paste into the pan.

Into it add tomatoes, in a grinder, add green chillies, garlic, ginger and grind it. Add the grinded paste into the pan.

Add salt, desiccated coconut and well, until tomatoes get completely mashed. When it gets cooked, add chopped ridge gourd.

Mix well and cook it until ridge gourd softens and its water gets removed.
Chutney is ready when oil gets separated. - 6
