Milky Mushrooms or Majestic Milky Mushrooms are a great treat to our tastebuds. These are native to India and are edible. These are available in Summers after the rains that follow intense heat. They even grow on the roadsides. This is the first indigenous Mushrooms to be commercialized in the Country. They are all White in colour with gills and stalks.
Thiamine, Riboflavin and Niacin are the Vitamins found in these pristine White beauties.
I had kept it simple with just Butter and Garlic and without lots of spices to release it's own hidden flavours. These are melt in mouth, absolutely delicious and healthy Mushrooms native to our own Country. That's the biggest plus point of them. I could luckily grab these recently and have enjoyed it with my family. You will love it as well. Do give it a try if could lay your hands on these Milky Mushrooms.
Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps
- 1
Cut the mushrooms at first. Cut the round part first. Then peel the outer layer of the long stalk. And then cut into small cubes.
- 2
Meanwhile heat butter and saute finely chopped garlic. After half a minute, when there is a lovely aroma, add the mushrooms. Cover and cook for about 3-4 minutes on a high heat because they release water. It gets done very quickly. So keep a watchful eye as they cook.
- 3
Garnish with salt and pepper. Also add chopped coriander for a complete picture. Coriander or parsley gives a lovely flavour.
- 4
Serve with rotis, chapatis or phulkas too. Or can be eaten with rice as well. Enjoy!
