Ingredients

  1. 1 cupfine rice flour (about 160 grams)
  2. 7 cupswater (about 1.65 liters)
  3. 1 1/2 cupssugar (about 300 grams)
  4. 2 tablespoonsground caraway
  5. 1 tablespoonground anise
  6. 1 tablespoonground cinnamon
  7. For garnish
  8. Shredded coconut
  9. Cashews
  10. Almonds
  11. Walnuts
  12. Pistachios
  13. Raisins

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the dry ingredients together.

  2. 2

    Add the water to the dry ingredients.

  3. 3

    Place everything over medium heat and whisk constantly by hand to prevent lumps from forming.

  4. 4

    When the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat and continue stirring until it thickens.

  5. 5

    Pour the meghli into serving bowls and let it cool. You can also serve it warm if you prefer.

  6. 6

    Garnish before serving.
