Serves 4 servings
  • 10 ouncesdry pasta
  • 2chopped shallots
  • 1 poundsliced mushrooms
  • 7 ouncesbacon bits
  • 2 cupsbeef broth
  • 1 1/4 cupsred Port wine
  • 2/3 cupcream

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the pasta and reserve some cooking water.

  2. 2

    Cook the bacon bits, chopped shallots, and mushrooms.

  3. 3

    In a pan, add the Port wine and beef broth and reduce.

  4. 4

    Add the cream, pasta, mushrooms, and bacon bits. Add cooking water if needed to loosen.
