Steaks in Green Sauce with Zucchini

  1. 2-4beef steaks
  2. as neededbaking soda
  3. 4tomatillos
  4. 1 tbspoil
  5. 1 pieceonion
  6. 1 clovegarlic
  7. as neededjalapeño pepper (optional)
  8. 1/2 cupfrozen poblano pepper strips
  9. 1/2 cupfrozen corn kernels
  10. 2zucchinis
  11. 2 tspbouillon powder or salt to taste

    Sprinkle baking soda on the steaks and let them sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. (I learned this tip in a great course I took: The Science of Gastronomy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.) Then rinse them and fry them in a pressure cooker.

    In a saucepan, boil 4 tomatillos, a piece of onion, a clove of garlic, and a piece of jalapeño pepper (optional). When they are soft and have changed color, blend them with 2 teaspoons of bouillon powder or salt. Pour the mixture over the steaks, add 2 zucchinis cut into strips, frozen poblano pepper strips, and frozen corn kernels. Cover the pot, and once it reaches pressure, cook for 30 minutes.
