Preheat oven at 180°c and line a cupcake tin with cupcake cases. Mix together butter 🧈 and caster sugar for 5-6 mins or until smooth and fluffy, add the eggs🥚, 🥛 milk and vanilla extract and mix them in well, then fold in plain flour/ self raising flour, custard powder and baking powder.

Divide the mixture between each cupcakes cases and bake them for 20-25 mins or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cupcakes comes out clean, put them on a wire rack to cool completely,use a knife to make a hole in the middle of each cupcakes and fill with homemade custard.

For custard buttercream: mix the softened butter 🧈 on its own for a min, then add icing sugar mix well, add custard powder, vanilla extract and milk 🥛 and mix until smooth, spread or pipe the custard buttercream on top of each cupcakes and decorate with chocolate sprinkles or colourful sprinkles.

For custard filling: mix custard powder with 3 tbsp milk 🥛 and keep aside, heat milk 🥛, sugar, vanilla extract for 3 mins and add custard mixture and mix well, no lumps, very it's thick, remove and cover, let it cool completely.
