Pancakes

A simple yet delicious breakfast recipe (can also be a delightful dessert) 😋❤
Pancakes can be really versatile since you can experiment with a lot of ingredients and toppings as per you liking. Fresh fruits, fruit purees, crushes, jams, jellies, chocolate sauce, choco chips, chopped nuts, whipped cream, honey or maple syrup... one of these or in combinations and pancakes won't disappoint your taste buds and gracefully complement the flavours. So here's my version of this heavenly dish.
Note: While making the batter, you may add cinnamon powder or other essence for flavour. Also you may add fruit purees and crushes to the batter as per your choice. In this case, check out for the amount of powdered sugar. You can also use honey or brown sugar for sweetening. For chocolate pancakes either add coco powder in the batter or add choco chips. Lastly, you may use toppings of your choice as mentioned in the recipe. 😇

Steps
- 1
In a bowl, take one cup of whole wheat flour and 3 tablespoons of oats. You may also use oatmeal flour.
- 2
Add a pinch of salt, 3 tablespoons powdered sugar (or as per taste), 1/4th teaspoon of baking soda and half a teaspoon of baking powder.
- 3
Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence and a 2-3 drops of lemon juice.
- 4
Mix well and add half a cup of milk.
- 5
Whisk the batter well till it reaches a pourable consistency, adding milk as required.
- 6
Heat a pan and add a little butter to it.
- 7
Once butter melts and the pan is hot enough, pour a ladle full of pancake batter on the pan.
- 8
Cook well on both sides till the pancake gets a nice light brown colour. Keep the flame medium to low to avoid burning.
- 9
Drizzle with honey, maple syrup or fruit crush. I used strawberry crush here.
- 10
Serve hot or cold and enjoy!
