The ever popular Mexican fiesta, Nachos are everyone's favourite. Nachos are a Tex Mex dish from Northern Mexico. Originally this dish is composed of Tortilla chips covered with Cheese or Cheese based sauce. There are many variations on this till date.
In this lovely looking particular variation of mine, I have used both Maize and a little of All-purpose flours.
That's it. As simple as that. And have used hot water to bind it well.
These definitely make for a healthy snack alternative and hence homemade can be really hygienic too.
And Maize flour is definitely a good option for making these guilt free snacks anytime. And have served these beautiful Nachos alongside creamy Avocado Salsa for a healthy Snacking for the whole family at Tea-time or Shaam ki Chai on a weekend.

Steps
- 1
Take a wide bowl and add all the ingredients to it. Using water as required, knead a smooth dough. Quantity of water depends upon the quality of the flours used. You might need more or less accordingly. Allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
- 2
Divide the dough into 7 to 8 equal sized balls. Roll each using a plastic sheet or a butterpaper if unable to do it on the board. Cut into big triangles.
- 3
Prick them all over with a fork so that they doesn't puff up. Deep fry few at a time in batches of three to four or as required. These get fried very quickly, so keep an eye on them and keep turning them for even cooking.
- 4
Keep the triangles a little big for the toppings to be used. Serve these crunchy homemade nachos with salsa or a cheese dip. I served these with avocado salsa. Enjoy! Yum!
