Sattu Ladoo

These high protein Indian sweet balls (ladoos) are made by mixing powdered roasted chickpeas (chana) and jaggery. It also gives cooling effect in summer times.

These high protein Indian sweet balls (ladoos) are made by mixing powdered roasted chickpeas (chana) and jaggery. It also gives cooling effect in summer times.
Steps

Roast Chana till all moisture is removed. After cooling grind the chana and seive to make coarse powder. This our Sattu powder.

Roast nuts with 1 tsp of ghee till the nuts become crisp.

Dry roast grated dry coconut and poppy seeds. Then, grind the same. Add nuts and grind. Remove in a container. Add sattu powder and mix well. Add resins.

Melt jaggery with 2 tsp of water and 2 tsp of ghee. Boil for half a min. Pour jaggery syrup on the dry sattu mixture. Mix with a spoon as melted jaggery is hot. Melt the remaining ghee and add to the mixture. Mix it well. Add cardamom nutmeg powder.

Mix nicely and make ladoo in ball like shape.

Approximately 10 sattu ladoos will be made with this mixture. Enjoy this recipe any time. Especially in summer.
