Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 1/2 packagefilo dough
  • 2 cupsmilk (about 480 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonsugar (for the milk)
  • 2 tablespoonspowdered sugar (for the filo)
  • 1/3 cuphoney (about 110 ml)
  • Pinchvanilla
  • 2 tablespoonsghee or unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cupwater (about 120 ml) + 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Steps

    Slice the filo dough while it's rolled up to make thin strips. Place the filo in a large skillet with the ghee or butter, add the powdered sugar, and stir over heat until golden brown. Remove from heat, drizzle with honey, and mix well.

  2. 2

    Dissolve the cornstarch in the water. Add the milk and sugar, then cook and stir until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency. Add the vanilla and remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filo mixture into the bottom of serving cups for the first layer. Add a layer of cream, then another layer of filo, and finish with a spoonful of cream.
