Bring the water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil. Remove from heat. Add the flour and mix well.

Beat the eggs and add them to the dough in three parts, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Line the bottom of the air fryer with parchment paper. Pipe the churros onto the paper. Lightly brush them with oil. Set the air fryer to manual mode: 15 minutes at 375°F (190°C).

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with the cream in a double boiler. When the churros are done, you can sprinkle them with sugar if you like. Dip the hot, crispy churros into the chocolate sauce and enjoy!
