Aloo Spinach Tikki is a delicious appetizer or a light lunch that is sure to please! It’s kid approved and a huge crowd pleaser. Vegan and needs only a few pantry ingredients. Perfect for beginner cooks, a must try!😃

First, boil the potatoes and set aside.

Next, boil the spinach and keep aside. Chop the onion, cilantro, and green chilies, if using. Mince the ginger. Gather your spices and keep the semolina handy.

Take a larger serving container and mash the potatoes well.

Add the boiled spinach, chopped onions, chopped green chilies (optional), turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder (optional), ginger and salt. Now add the chopped cilantro and the semolina. Use your hands to mix everything together well and form a “ dough”.

Now grease your palms with a bit of oil and form the tikkis (patties) into round shapes.

With the remaining oil, shallow fry the tikkis on both sides till lightly browned.

Serve with green chutney, tamarind chutney, ketchup or any condiment of choice.
