Ingredients

40-50 minutes
3 serves
  1. 125 gmGuvar (Cluster beans)
  2. 100-125 gmChickpeas flour or Besan
  3. 5-6Garlic cloves
  4. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  5. 1 tspCoriander powder
  6. 1 tspRed Chilli powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 pinchBaking Soda
  9. 1 tspMustard seeds
  10. 1 tspCumin seeds
  11. 1 pinchAsafoetida (Hing)
  12. 1/4 tspCarrom seeds(Ajwain)
  13. 3 tspOil
  14. 1/2-1lemon juice
  15. leavesSome chopped coriander

Steps

40-50 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and Dry the Cluster beans and cut their edges of each the sides and cut into half pieces

  2. 2

    Take the Besan Flour in the mixing bowl and 2tsp oil,salt to taste,1/2tsp turmeric powder,1tsp Coriander powder,1tsp red chilli powder,pinch of baking soda and 1/2tsp lemon juice bind a semi soft dough and rest for 15-20 minutes

  3. 3

    Take a wide pan and add oil,crackle all the spices Mustard seeds,cumin seeds,hing,awain and then stir fry the Guvar beans cook for some time and then add about 1:5 glass of water and cover the lid till it’s half cooked

  4. 4

    Now take the dough and divide into 2-3 portions and start rolling like Roti by dusting dry flour and cut them into Diamond or square shapes as per your choice

  5. 5

    Add them into the boiling Beans and let everything cook together for 10-15 minutes at medium high flame

  6. 6

    Check them in between whether everything cooked nicely.Lastly add lemon juice and chopped coriander and serve immediately with Roti Bhakhari or Rice
