A garlicky sweet caramelized onion pasta served with a juicy seared steak. Such an impressive dish yet still easy to make !
Steps
- 1
Cook your pasta according to package instructions. Save the pasta water !
- 2
Before cooking let your steak rest and come to room temperature. Season generously with salt on all sides and pat dry before cooking
- 3
Turn the heat to high, in a pan add in some oil. Once smoke starts coming from the oil, gently place in your steak
- 4
For medium rare cook for 2-3 minutes each side. After about 4 minutes of cooking turn the heat off and add in 2 tbsp butter and some rosemary
- 5
Once cooked take the steak out of the pan and let it rest !
- 6
In the same pan, turn the heat to medium and add in chopped onion and garlic, stirring occasionally until onions are a light brown colour
- 7
Add in your Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic salt and parsley
- 8
Pour in 1/3 cups of heavy cream and mix well
- 9
Add in your cooked pasta along with 1/4 cups of pasta water if your sauce is too thick
- 10
Slice your steak and add it to the pasta. This is optional but you can season with some parsley and black pepper
- 11
Enjoy !
