Ingredients

45 minutes
6 servings
  • 1 cupoil
  • 2onions, sliced, divided
  • 1/4 cupcashews
  • 1 kgground beef
  • To taste, salt
  • 1 tbsp.ginger, julienned
  • 1 tbsp.garlic, julienned
  • 6-8green cardamoms
  • 6cloves
  • 1 tsp.chilli powder
  • 2 tsp.coriander powder
  • 2 tsp.black pepper powder
  • 8-10green chillies, chopped
  • 1 stickcinnamon
  • 1tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cupcilantro, chopped, divided
  • 4dry red chillies
  • 2 tsp.cumin powder
  • 1/2lemon, juiced

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a wok or tawa over high heat and fry the 1 onion till golden brown.

  2. 2

    Add the cashews and fry till golden. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    In same oil add the ground beef, whole spices, ginger, garlic, green chillies, powdered spices and cook till colour changes of ground beef, breaking the chunks.

  4. 4

    Add the remaining onion, cumin powder, red chillies and half of the cilantro; mix well, cover and simmer till tomatoes have disintegrated and ground beef is cooked.

  5. 5

    And the fried onion-cashews, cilantro and mix well.

  6. 6

    Squeeze lemon juice, cover and simmer for 2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve with paratha.
