Ingredients

80 servings
  1. 500 grams(about 2 1/4 cups) unsalted butter
  2. 280-300 grams(about 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 cups) brown sugar
  3. 2 teaspoonsvanilla extract or zest
  4. 2eggs
  5. 1 pinchsalt
  6. 6-8 cups(about 710-945 grams) all-purpose flour (1 cup = 118 grams)

Steps

    Beat the butter with the brown sugar. Add the vanilla, salt, and eggs, and mix well.

    Gradually add the flour and mix until you have a soft, pliable dough that doesn't stick to your hands.

  3. 3

    Refrigerate the dough for about an hour to chill, making it easier to roll out.

  4. 4

    Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, cut out shapes with cookie cutters, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven.

    Store the cookies in a bowl or airtight container for up to one month. Decorate as desired with fondant.
