Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Add the oil and rub it into the dry mixture.

Add the warm milk and knead until a soft dough forms.

Divide the dough into balls about the size of a lemon.

Shape each ball into a ring and place on a baking sheet.

Let the rings rise for 15 minutes, then brush the tops with the sugar water and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake in a preheated 350°F (180°C) oven until golden brown.
