Traditional Touch:
Using a silbatta (stone grinder), grind the soaked moong dal until smooth and fluffy.Add Zing:
Now add ginger and pudina leaves to the silbatta and grind them into a fresh aromatic paste.Blend the Flavours:
Mix the pudina-ginger paste into the moong dal paste. Add green chilies and salt. Grind again until well blended.Finish with Oil:
Add a tablespoon of oil to the chutney mixture and mix until well combined. - 2
Shape and Serve:
Shape the chutney into small round balls.Traditional Plating:
Serve warm over a banana leaf with:Steamed rice
Brinjal fry
Mashed raw banana
A drizzle of ghee and a pinch of salt
