Ingredients

1/2 cupbroken wheat
1/3 cupghee
1/3 cupsugar
1.5 cupwater
1/2 cupmilk
2cloves
1 piececinnamon
3cardamom powder
1/4 teaspoonnutmeg powder
1little bit of saffron

Steps

On one side, in a pot, combine water and milk, and heat it. On the other side, in a pressure cooker, once the ghee is hot, add cloves and cinnamon. After a little while, add the cracked wheat (fada) and roast it on a low flame. Stir continuously. Once it turns completely brown, add cashews and raisins. When they puff up, add the hot milk and water.

Now, close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 2 whistles. Once the pressure cooker cools down, add sugar and cook for 1 more whistle.

Once the pressure cooker cools down, add cardamom and nutmeg powder along with saffron, and mix well. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with slivered almonds.
