Fried rice is probably the first dish many beginners try to make.

My very first recipe was also fried rice, but back then I just recorded it without writing down detailed ingredient amounts.

Ingredients

15 minutes
Serves 1 serving
  1. 1 tablespoonoil (15 ml)
  2. 3.5 ozchicken breast (100 g)
  3. 1 teaspoonsoy sauce (5 g)
  4. 1/2 teaspoonrice wine (3 g)
  5. 2/3 cupbell peppers, red and yellow, diced (150 g)
  6. 1/2 cupleftover cooked rice (100 g)
  7. 1/4 cuponion, finely chopped (30 g)
  8. 2/3 cupbroccoli florets, finely chopped (60 g)
  9. Salt, to taste

    My very first recipe:

    Cut the chicken breast into small cubes. Marinate with soy sauce and rice wine for 10 minutes.

    Finely chop the bell peppers, onion, and broccoli.

    Heat a pan and add the oil. Sauté the onion until fragrant.

    Add the chicken cubes and stir-fry until they change color and are about 80% cooked. Remove and set aside.

    In the same pan, add the broccoli and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.

    Add the leftover rice and stir to break it up.

    Return the chicken and onion to the pan. Stir-fry until everything is fully cooked. Taste and add salt if needed.
