Pour the milk and heavy cream into a bowl. Microwave the mixture until it reaches about 104°F (40°C). Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Add the eggs and mix until combined. Strain the custard mixture twice through a fine mesh sieve to make it smooth.

Pour the custard into the tart shells. Carefully place them in the air fryer. Select the French fries mode, set to 356°F (180°C) and bake for 5 minutes. Lower the temperature to 320°F (160°C) and bake for 8 minutes. Finally, increase to 356°F (180°C) and bake for another 2 minutes.
