Today I tried my grandma's taught recipe, and it was loved by everyone at home... it's a Jain special recipe that can be made on the occasion of Paryushan Parva.
Steps

First, grind the rice (or any type of rice grain) into a coarse texture using a mixer jar. Wash it with water 3 times, then soak it in water for 20 minutes, covering it with a lid.

After 20 minutes, put 4 cups of water in a vessel on the gas stove to boil. Once the water starts boiling, add the soaked rice and salt to taste. Stir well and cook on low heat.

In a separate vessel, mix 1 cup of yogurt and 1 cup of water to make buttermilk (use slightly sour yogurt.

Check the rice, it should be cooked by now. Add the freshly prepared buttermilk and cook for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, add 1 tablespoon of fresh cream and mix well. Then, add roasted cumin powder and stir well. Let it simmer for 2 minutes, then turn off the gas.

Serve the prepared Ghens in a bowl, garnished with pure ghee and a pinch of roasted cumin powder. Serve hot.

The Ghens will have a loose consistency when warm, but it will set nicely as it cools down. The addition of fresh cream gives it a smooth and creamy texture.
