Instant Poha Modak

First of all, sieve and dry roast the poha. It will be roasted in just 2-3 minutes. Remove it and let it cool.

Then add cardamom seeds with it in a mixer jar and grind it finely. Roast the chopped dry nuts in ghee.

Now add melted ghee in a pan, add milk, milk powder and powdered sugar and mix. Keep stirring till the sugar and milk powder dissolve. Now turn on the gas flame.

When the mixture becomes hot,add the poha powder and roasted dry nuts into it.The poha will absorb the milk in just 1 to 2 minute. Now add 2 tbspoon of cream to it and mix it. All this process has to be done quickly. Take care that there are no lumps in the poha. Remove it in such a way that the mixture remains soft.

While the poha mixture is still hot, knead it a little with your hands, apply ghee and chopped pistachios to the mould and make modak.

Very easy and quick to make poha modak is ready for bhog prasad. Garnish it with rose petals and chopped pistachios.
