Soak Chana Dal overnight, discard water and add to blender. Coarsely blend without adding water leaving aside 1 Tbsp Dal for later use

In a chopper add onion, green chillies, curry leaves, whole red chilli, cumin seeds and chop, add to a bowl
- 3
Add coarsely crushed Chana dal to spices and add salt and hing, mix
- 4
Add the remaining Chana dal and mix

Form Vada
- 6
In a pan heat oil and add Vada and on medium flame fry golden colour, set aside
- 7
Plate with cup of hot tea and enjoy this Onam
Tips
Soaking Dal overnight is the key
Enjoy hit with hot cup of tea
