Beef Steak in Peanut Sauce

It's harvest season, and in Mexico we use seasonal ingredients. Peanut sauce is one of my favorites, so I decided to use it for the beef chunks challenge. This is my recipe.

It's harvest season, and in Mexico we use seasonal ingredients. Peanut sauce is one of my favorites, so I decided to use it for the beef chunks challenge. This is my recipe.

In a large skillet, sauté the onion with the oil for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 3 minutes, then add the beef and sear on all sides.

Once the beef is seared, transfer it to a large pot. Add the beef broth, salt, cumin, and black pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.

While the beef is cooking, toast the chiles and garlic, and peel the peanuts.

Blend the peanuts, chiles, and garlic in a blender with the water and salt until very smooth.

Once the sauce and beef are fully cooked, serve with your favorite beans and tortillas.
