Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2(about 120g each) Fresh salmon portions
  2. 200 gSpaghetti or linguine
  3. 200 gFrozen garden peas
  4. 100 gUnsalted butter
  5. 1 tbspPlain flour
  6. 200 mlMilk
  7. 100 mlDouble cream
  8. 100 ml(about 2 lemons) Fresh lemon juice
  9. 0.5 tsp(optional) Lemon zest
  10. 0.5tsp, plus extra for pasta water Salt
  11. 1 pinchBlack or white pepper
  12. to finish Cracked black pepper

Steps

    Bake salmon at gas 6 (200°C) for 20 mins until just cooked.

  2. 2

    Whilst the salmon cooks, boil pasta in salted water until al dente.

  3. 3

    Cook peas in boiling water until tender, then drain.

  4. 4

    Make lemon butter sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, add milk gradually, then cream, lemon juice, and zest. Season to taste.

  5. 5

    Flake salmon. Mix half with drained pasta, peas, and sauce.

  6. 6

    Serve in bowls, topping with remaining salmon and cracked black pepper.

Tips

For added flavor, consider garnishing with fresh herbs like parsley or dill.
