Cream the butter with the sugar and eggs until smooth.

Mix in the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.

Divide the dough into 5 parts: 4 large portions and 1 small portion.

Tint each portion with a different food coloring: green, red, yellow, and brown.

Lightly flour your work surface and roll out each colored dough with a rolling pin. Use the red dough to make poinsettia shapes with a yellow center. Get creative with your cookie designs!

Cut out shapes using holiday cookie cutters, re-rolling scraps as needed.
