Kollu parupu (Horse gram)

Take half cup of horse gram. Clean with plain water and soak for half an hour to one hour.

Then add into the pressure cooker with two cups of water. Cook it for five whistles. Let it cool. Take out the water. Keep the cooked horse gram dal in a bowl.

Chop the onion,red chilli and curry leaves. Keep it aside. Keep a kadai on medium heat add oil, cumin seeds, coriander seeds,chopped onion,red chilli and curry leaves

Saute till it becomes golden colour. Add the cooked gram and salt. Close the lid and cook for ten minutes in low flame.

Then take a wooden masher. Mash it well. Super tasty kollu parupu is ready.

Transfer to a serving bowl and add one teaspoon ghee. Super healthy and tasty kollu parupu is ready to serve. Enjoy this kollu parupu (Horse gram) with steamed rice.
