Steps

Collect the fresh red cheera, clean with running water two or more times to remove the mud.Then finely chop the cheera. Keep it aside.

Keep a kadai on medium heat add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal and red chilli saute for few minutes. Then add the chopped cheera. Mix it.

Saute the cheera till it cook soft. Don't cover it. Stir in between and add salt. Mix till the water dry out.Then add the grated coconut and mix well.

Saute for two minutes. Take out from flame. Red cheera thoran is ready to serve.

Healthy and tasty kerala style red cheera thoran is ready. Enjoy this thoran with steamed rice and roti.
