Ingredients

2 servings (4 big bowls)
  1. 1Cucumber finely chopped
  2. 1Onion finely chopped
  3. 1Steamed potato chopped
  4. 1/2 cupSprouted moong
  5. 2Tomatoes finely chopped
  6. 1/4 cupCoriander leaves
  7. Sweet chutney
  8. 4dates soaked
  9. 1 tsporganic desi jaggery
  10. 1 tspcumin - coriander powder
  11. 1 tspred chilli powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Very little (½ marble size) tamerind
  14. Green chutney
  15. 1 cupcoriendar leaves
  16. 1 cupmint leaves
  17. 1/4 tspsalt
  18. 1 tbspLemon juice
  19. 2green chillies
  20. Few ice cubes to grind
  21. To garnish
  22. to taste Chaat masala
  23. 1 tbspLemon juice
  24. for garnish Sesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop cucumber, onion, tomato, steamed potato, and coriander leaves.

    For sweet chutney, grind soaked dates (with soaking water), tamarind, salt, red chilli, coriander, cumin powder, and jaggery.

    For green chutney, grind coriander, mint, green chilli, salt, lemon juice, and ice cubes until smooth.

    Mix all salad ingredients in a bowl.

    Add both chutneys to the salad and toss well.

    Add chaat masala, sesame seeds, and lemon juice if desired. Combine well. Garnish with chopped coriendar leaves.

Tips

Use the soaking water from the dates for the sweet chutney. Add lemon juice and ice cubes to the green chutney for a refreshing taste.
