Ingredients

  • 1 bag (7 oz)estrella (star) pasta
  • 1 can (14 oz)crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz)vegetable broth
  • 2 cans (28 oz)chicken broth
  • 1small yellow onion (see notes for substitute)
  • 1 tbsminced garlic
  • 2 tsppaprika
  • 1 tbsblack ground pepper
  • 2bay leaves
  • 1 tbssalt
  • 1 dashMexican Maggi Jugo seasoning sauce
  • 2 tbsolive or vegetable oil
  • 2 tbstomato and chicken bullion
  • Note: you can substitute the onion for dried minced onion instead, just use 3-4 tbs of it.

    Blend the canned tomatoes, onion, and garlic together. (Or if using minced dry onion. Simply mix)

  2. 2

    Fry the pasta in the oil inside of a pot, letting brown on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Take the pasta off heat for about a minute, then mix in tomato muxture and broth to the pot.

  4. 4

    Place all seasonings inside of the soup and leave on medium high, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Take out bay leaves and season more to your liking if needed. Add in lime juice or cilantro for taste if you'd like and serve.
